Vera Frances Dennard

Vera Frances was born March 1, 1927 in Jacksonville, TX to the late Emma and Samuel Thomas. Vera was immersed in the Christian Community and lived her life serving the Lord. She owned several businesses throughout her lifetime including an Interior Design Store and a Women's Consignment Shop. Vera loved to collect Fenton Bells and displayed them proudly in her home. She enjoyed travelling and shopping and would cook up a wonderful meal, blessed with love for her family. Vera faced adversity in her lifetime but would rely on her strength and faith to overcome any situation with dignity and grace. Vera touched many lives with her own personal ministry and would share her wisdom and love of the Lord with everyone who came into her life. Vera was affectionately known to all as Mom. Vera is survived by daughters, Phyllis, Balorie, Patricia, Deborah and son Darrell, brother Charles and sister Joanne. Vera was The Matriarch of our large family that includes nieces, nephews and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Services will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Friday April 9, 2021 at 1pm.
