Zamfira Dragomir was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world too soon on June 7, 2021 at age 56. Her absence is widely felt and she is sorely missed.
She was born to Vasile and Viorica Dragomir on May 11, 1965 in Maramures, Romania. After graduating from high school, Zamfira worked as a seamstress in Baia-Mare where she met her husband, Daniel at church. Together, they had 2 children: Daniela and Andrei. Zamfira immigrated to the United States in 1994 where she and her husband worked tirelessly to give their children a life they never had. She was the embodiment of the American Dream and a testament to what hard work and sacrifice can get you.
Zamfira was an amazing cook and loved spending time in the kitchen, creating authentic Romanian dishes for her family and friends. She was a skilled sewer, cook, gardener, and devote Christian. Zamfira was called to help others and dedicated her life to caring for the elderly.
She is proceeded in death by her father Vasile Dragomir, her mother Viorica Dragomir, and her beloved grandmother Nance Matan. She is survived by her daughter Daniela (Paul) Hefner, her son Andrei Pocol, her grandsons Cormac and Rhodes Hefner, and her 8 brothers and sisters; Viorica (Ananie) Simule, Gheorghe (Gina) Dragomir, Aurica Dragomir, Nancica Lazenby, Daniel (Noemi) Dragomir, Liviu Dragomir, Ioan Dragomir, Sabin (Iavinia) Dragomir.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10 am on June 17, 2021 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Renton, Washington.
