Margret E. Woodhouse 97 yrs old
of Renton, WA had a stroke in her home on July 15 and died peacefully at Overlake Hospital at 12:55 AM July 18, 2019.
She was born on Feb 19, 1922 in Bethel Township, Ohio, the 5th daughter in family of 6 children.
She lived in Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana, and California before moving to Washington in 1975.
She served in ministry with her husband, Gerald (deceased) in evangelism, pastoring, and Youth for Christ for over 50 years beginning at age 19, as well as holding jobs as Office Manager and in finance. She also loved traveling and visited every state in the USA as well as many foreign countries. In her later years, she did ceramics at the Renton Senior Center and volunteered at the Group Health (Kaizer) clinic in Renton. She touched everyone she met with her laughter, joy of living, and her love of Jesus.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Cherry & Robert Montague of Renton; her granddaughter, Lisa & Rob Firebaugh of Kirkland; grandsons, Duane & Robyn Montague of Chino Hills, CA, and Douglas & Kara Montague of Redmond; and her great-grandchildren Emily, Kaylie & Natalie Firebaugh, Audrey, Austen, Autumn & August Montague, and
Lauren, Ethan, Logan, and Jane Montague.
A Celebration of Life service will be held August 8, 2019 at the Bellevue Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, WA. In Lieu of flowers Margret has asked the donations be made in her honor to Prison Fellowship.
