Victoria Lamb Obituary

Our dear mother, Victoria “Vicki” Louise Lamb peacefully passed away at home on December 30, 2022, surrounded by family. She was 81 years old.

Born in Seattle, daughter to the late Donald and Vera (Chiappa) Gillis. She was also proceeded in death by her best friend and sister Ann Piotrowski. As well as the love of her life, Darce H. Lamb.

While attending the all-girls school Holy Rosary, Vicki modeled for Sturtevant’s and sat on the fashion board and modeled for The Bon Marche’. She was Prom Queen for the all-boys school, O’Dea and Tolo Princess for Seattle prep. She moved to Utah with her family after graduation and attend State University before returning to Seattle to pursue Darce H. Lamb, and attend Seattle U.

Vicki met Darce Lamb when she was 13 at a Boeing picnic and he stole her heart. After their first meeting she told her sister “That’s the man I’m going to marry someday”. It took Darce a little longer to come around and they married on July 29, 1960.

Vicki went on to have six children. She worked full-time as a gas station manager and then an expediter for Boeing to help support their growing family. She was fortunate to retire early, be a stay-at-home mother to their last 2 children and travel the world with her husband Darce. Later Darce and Vicki would spend most of their weekends together at their cabin on the lake, hosting their kids, grandkids, family and business associates. She was also very active in all her children’s extracurricular activities and sports, with 24+ years as a soccer mom! She was generous of heart which led to her supporting many charities thru the years including auctions for Cerebral Palsy, Life Support in Cle Elem, Sisters of St. Dominic, Bellevue Woman's Shelter, Children's Hosp and many more.

The most important thing in Vicki’s life was family. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain and spend quality time with her family. She was fun, loving and wickedly smart and had a great sense of humor.

She was truly enjoyed, fiercely loved and will be eternally missed.

Victoria is survived by her beloved children; Don, Brad (Michelle), Paige, Cyndi, Whitney (Curtis) Hora and Jason lamb her cherished grandchildren Brittany, Stephen (Marilynn), Nicole Barrett, Tara, Dakoda Kuhns, Treten Hora, Maddisen, Alexis (Martin) Zavala, Holden Brown and loving Nona to her great grandchildren Kaleb, Alice, Jaxson, Jeremiah and Grace.
